@jake4480 Perhaps this is just my Northerner roots showing, but I’m also skeptical of the long term livability of the southwest quadrant of the country, in the face of climate change, so I’m also a bit skeptical of pouring lots of infrastructure money into that region. 🫤

Unless it’s infrastructure to bring fresh water and trees… that’d probably be worth it.

@jake4480 At some point the heat will reach a tipping point and make it unlivable. Plants will die. Things will dry up.

Were it not for the availability of modern air conditioning I think the southwest quadrant of the US would still be basically uninhabited. It is essentially a hostile environment getting more hostile year over year. HVAC will only get us so far.

People hate advertising so much there's actually faint marks of where someone marked the "mute" button for a lot of these gas pumps. Also, did you know that. Try it. Second button down on the right.

@jake4480 It's made even worse by the absolutely horrible speaker/volume combo of gas pump audio systems. As if anything that could be said via that medium will sway me to spend more money on whatever they're talking about.

There's an important problem the world faces daily that not enough people are talking about. Tortilla chips are NOT strong enough. They often break when trying to scoop something as simple as salsa, or even in your 7 layer dips
