I wanted to try a stronger magnetic cube (main is currently Tengyun v1). QiYi M Pro has a ~10$ ballcore UV, so it went onto the cart. The turning feeling is really close to my tengyun, so I like it....
The puzzle itself is cool, but I actually found the explanations of the mechanism design and 3D printing techniques more interesting....
I’ve had a 3x3x3 for a few years and so far, I solve it with the beginner method. I watched a J Perm video on the F2L approach and now I’m trying to learn to do that faster. At the moment, I’m still faster going one layer at a time....
Hey y’all - anyone still here? :)...
Welcome to our monthly discussion thread!...

If he keeps this up, he'll be faster than me with the 3x3x3
l_inadapte,
threelonmusketeers, Yup, that’s roughly my 3x3 average as well. Max Park is a truly incredible human.
“I always knew this was possible, but never expected it to actually happen…” again…...
Previous record was 1.01, by Zayn Khanani. A huge step!...

Tommy takes back the WR by 0.10s https://invidious.fdn.fr/watch?v=gdHPag6z2NY
~5s of memo, 7s execution. Have I already said that I’m impressed by cubers?
threelonmusketeers, Tommy Cherry is an insane BLD machine.
Over a decade after xb27 revealed a similar puzzle (but kept the mechanism secret), someone has replicated the feat.

Yiheng Wang ties Yusheng Du's WR. Alternate angle: https://www.instagram.com/reel/C27ickXJ3pm/?igsh=MXhwemI5NGhtZ2ZwYg%3D%3D
threelonmusketeers, Du’s record no longer stands, correct? Someone already beat it?
Also, FYI, your invidious link is to Park’s 7x7 WR.

A world record on n×n×n not by Mak Park !
threelonmusketeers, Wow! Who held the the previous record, and how much did he beat it by?
narusite, French @threelonmusketeers The previous avg was 1:07.11 (by Max Park), so a little more than half a second

Frozzie, This guy is unstoppable
threelonmusketeers, I think that’s around my 4x4 average. Max can consistently solve a 7x7 in the time it takes me to solve a 4x4. He is incredible.

Finally sub-9 for Sean! Viva la #Rouxvolution!
Hi all! I mentioned in the last weekly that I think it might be good for us to move to monthly threads. This one was created manually but I’ve adjusted the auto-scheduler to post on the first of every month starting in March....
Silly video style aside, it’s impressive how many of Tony Fisher’s records Matt Bahner has managed to break using only 3D printing.
I’ve recently bought a Tornado V2 and a WRM V9. I’ve had the Tornado for a couple of months and treated myself to the WRM V9 just after Christmas....
