Just going to remind you that we STILL don't have the fancy Instagram messaging in the UK because of the GDPR. Not sure how exactly the GDPR is hampering us being able to react to a message with more emoji than just a heart, or be able to reply to specific messages - but thats what Instagram claim is the reason it's not available anywhere that has the GDPR
I remember whenever DPC fined Meta the first couple of times around for the WhatsApp stuff, they threatened to leave the EU if they couldn't get what they wanted (Harvest user data). Meta honestly thinks that they are above GDPR and Data Protection Acts. But they are not. And the fines that the DPC has imposed should show that.
It would be better for everyone if they left the EU.
This announcement comes the same day as a ruling by the European Court of Justice declaring that Meta is not in compliance with with GDPR, which I refuse to believe is a coincidence.
Also because Ireland is a clever tax haven for global conglomerates. They offering the lowest corporate tax rate to international companies that agree to headquarter there.

Except this time with 100x the voice and resources
