sogerald, #DaisyRidley says she still finds the fan backlash against #RiseOfSkywalker upsetting. My issues w/ Eps. 7-9 are plot-related. I applaud the actors and their performances. I feel Rey could've had a better story not dependent on the Skywalkers nor the Palpatines.
cstephens2, I saw #TheMarshKingsDaughter last night. I knew almost nothing about the film (which is based on a book) except that #DaisyRidley and #BenMendelsohn were in it, and with the briefest one-line plot summary that I'd read, I was in.
It's a terrific movie, with a premise that I've not really seen as the main story and is more usually used as a side story. I'll admit it was distracting for me at times to hear Daisy Ridley with an American accent because I'm not used to it. 1/3
cstephens2, @justin I'd be curious what you think after you've seen the film. I didn't know there was a book until I saw the credit in the film.
justin, @cstephens2 Full disclosure, coworker’s cousin is in the film so we had a bit of a heads up and chose the book accordingly. I’m expecting the film will be intense.
