I’m a long time Windows user who has experience with WSL. Last year, I needed a laptop for university, and out of laziness, opted for a Macbook since, although they’re expensive as hell, are reasonably reliable....

Dangerous opinion, I’ve recently moved to Fedora after Ubuntu and after customising it on the GNOME desktop, it’s literally Ubuntu (But better) in every way except no snaps....

I used to hate android emulators, since the ones I’d tested on Windows were ad-ridden, slow bloatware....

Disclaimer: I know there’s a lot of questions and posts like this but generally they’re aimed at noobs. I consider myself an intermediate user, and I know generally distros don’t matter much and you can have anything another distro has on any distro but I’m looking for something a little “specific” that better suits...

I am supposing this will not work - simply using dd to copy the booted disk /dev/sda for example to a file on an external hard drive. This would not be a good back as too many system file would be missed. right?
