What kind of international organizations/clinics are the best in helping for people with autism spectrum disorder? I'd really appreciate for any info, contacts, etc., thanks ♥ @actuallyautistic
@ideogram@actuallyautistic prior to my diagnosis I wrote to alot of of places, like clinics, humanitarian organizations etc. I'd ask more openly but there's a lot of private details and 500 symbols limit, but long story short, because of ASD and ARFID I barely can live in Russia, I'm totally alone here, only my mom helps me, and I'm afraid of political persecution - i've participated in anti-war protest and other things. So it's not that simple as just googling 😔
@quite1enough@actuallyautistic licensing BS stops people from getting help they need. Still, many of us will find ways to work with people given their jurisdictional laws. Foundation for Divergent Minds is a great non-therapeutic place. Also STAR institute in CO for OT.
It’s a little more difficult as culture can affect presentation and language… I would try out a couple groups and discord groups, there’s quite a few, educating yourself and others and working with community and others is a good ground to start with. The group is great here, anywhere is hit or miss. I know when I started learning last year it can be confusing and a lot of questions may come up. So just feel free to ask in community’s!
