#emacs is gnus really worth it? I feel like i'm fighting an uphill battle but i hope there's something cool on the other side? idk maybe i'll just use mu4e instead
it has one or 2 unique features like post scoring & the fact it can be used for mail, rss, newsgroups. But it's overly complex if you just want e-mail as there is mu4e & notmuch.
@0x4d6165 I used GNUS for some time and later switched to notmuch. Do no, for me GNUS wasn't we orth it, it was too byzantine.
IMHO notmuch and mu4e are quite similar.
And you can use both with an "inbox zero" strategy, if you want. There's nothing in GNUS that jake it special here. Searching and tagging of both is better as in GNUS. And both interface better with Shell and Python, notmuch maybe a tad better.
