Why no latin name for #Mastodon #instances in this elaborate social media taxonomy? Because they don't make a difference. They are just where you are. Think of them like towns from before we used last names.

I'm Ragnell of Witches.Live -- @ragnell @witches.live. I can see and talk to people outside of witches.live, even though I reside in witches.live and they know me as Ragnell of Witches.Live to distinguish me from other Ragnells.

There might be a @ragnell or @ragnell out there, after all.

I can move to a new town if my old town isn't comfortable for me. There's an option under Settings > Account to do so.
