I've used FreeCAD to do some minor designing for 3D printing. It works fine, but it's a bit too rigid and formal for my use cases. I don't need to constrain every single edge, face, or vertex. Blender isn't really too suited for this task, at least I didn't like it for this task.

Many seem to use Fusion 360 and it's free for personal use. AutoDesk isn't exactly a nice company, but perhaps this is a case where one can be pragmatic.
