@johnmclaren @bookstodon Alasdair Gray really was a remarkable writer & artist … I would strongly recommend reading his novels & short fiction.

There are some recordings of him reading novel extracts & short stories online: here’s “The Crank that Made the Revolution” (although sadly it lacks the author’s illustrations)
