@maegul I think it'll be a battle of the protocols. The consensus amongst both big and small tech social networking/media companies is that decentralized and federated protocols are the future. Less headaches even for big tech platforms that would encourage their users to move their accounts to other platforms if they wanna talk politics, etc. Basically what Threads is doing (which is good for Mastodon). ActivityPub is winning the battle. ATProto has nothing going for it. Bsky took a big gamble.
