@RolloTreadway I'm sorry to hear that. I had a bout of horrible nightmares a week or so ago, it's really grim.
Would you like to join our Northern Exposure watchalong? It's really fun and a great distraction from All The Things. You don't need to catch up, it's not the sort of show where you'll miss plotlines or anything. I can give you links to the episodes, so you don't need to worry about sourcing them.
Our next one is tonight at 7. Let me know if you want to play 😊 🤗
@RolloTreadway Ha! I get that. I remember it from when it first aired, so I've got a kind of youthful affection for it - it's very silly.
Hope you can get outside today and clear your head 🥰
@RolloTreadway It must be awfully quiet in their heads. I'm not sure I'd like it. But then there's people that don't get music at all, and I really can't understand that.
Thank you for sharing your earworm btw. It's the opening track on a compilation I've got, and so I've been mentally running through the other tracks on that album.
@sheepnik I also can't understand people who just have some mainstream radio as background, not engaging with the music at all. Used to work with someone who had Heart FM on in the office all day. It was unbearable.
@RolloTreadway@sheepnik I listen to Spotify playlists while I work, but no lyrics and crucially no chatty DJ. I can’t type while other people are talking
I always have an earworm. Other people definitely don't though. My eldest finds this funny and will every once in a while randomly ask me "what's playing" and is amused when I can answer instantly
I find it a bit of a curse as I can get some right old rubbish stuck for hours on end
It only takes a tiny random trigger for me then off we go. I see a sign in a shop, that phrase sounds a bit like X, X pops into my head. Sometimes the connection is like a clue off 3-2-1 (really showing my age there) but then bang, listening to East 17 or Johnny Mathis for the next 3 hours
@sheepnik@Twoclownseating@purplepadma Last night, I was watching an episode of Only Connect in which the song American Pie was an answer, and that got me thinking about other songs about musicians, and by the time I got to bed I had Jackie Wilson Said stuck in my head.
