I wouldn't pick that. I almost always wait on all my peppers to turn red or whatever color they finish at because they become sweeter. I do sometimes harvest my jalapenos green but I like them red as well.
You can try to air-drying them. Use a needle and thread through the stem and let them hang. It looks kind of cool actually. Keep an eye on them just in case one or two for spoilage. I keep the needle attached and add more as I get them.
The peppers I have grown from supermarket pepper seeds have been a joy to grow. The first one is from a red pepper, second from a yellow pepper. Not sure if they will ripen to the original colours though, or when to pick them? Will let them do their thing. #peppers #vegetables #gardening #homegrown
I can't tell but do you have any other peppers growing close to them? The reason I ask is that pepper plants can cross-polinate and you can wind up with something like this.
@dnc There's really only a few options, light, heat, water and soil. Peppers like it warm, has it been cool there? Is this full sun? I would guess they are getting water or they'd be dead. The soil almost looks like mulch, this kind of stunted yellowing growth is typical for plants trying to grow in mulch. Perhaps transplant some into some fresh soil and a light feed. Good luck!
I think it might be okay. The way it looks like something gave it a try and moved on. I'd keep an eye on it to see if more leaves are being eaten. Turn over the leaves to see any bug is hiding. You can make up a spray bottle of soapy water made with castile soap and spray your plant to keep bugs away
