Musk invited Trump back to Twitter, and Trump turned him down. Musk is now showing off his new date, DeSantis. Flaunting DeSantis.
But he really would rather have Trump. Trump has more loyal followers and more loyal haters, all of which is good for Musk. Engagement is down, and he can't shadow ban Bluesky.
DeSantis has a need to be promoted and protected by Musk, and the only thing he can offer in return is a promise for a payout for Musk IF he wins the WH. He can't do anything for Musk right now.
Trump can offer his Twitter followers now. All the pandering pundits and journalists will line up to cover every single outrageous tweet. Bluesky? DOA.
All Trump has to do is tweet. Musk will dump DeSantis.
