@GiggleBoss there are about 17 layers to it! Was Kendall hurting him on purpose? Was Roman hurting himself? Were they doing it together? Was the pain what he needed, or what one of them thought he needed? Was it a reminder of how fucked up he is, or just a way to snap him out of his dissociation on seeing Gerri? Contrasting with the three-person hugs of the early season. Also, Roman is notoriously bad at hugs.
@evan It brought me to that moment at Tom's bachelor party when everyone remembered Roman's childhood differently. It didn't shine a light, just reaffirmed the level of fucked-upness of this family.
