@fkamiah17 honestly the thing that's wrong with the NYT those days is... the NYT.

The amount of bad takes is only second to the amount of horrible takes - on the gaza war but on poverty and a thousand other topics.

@martinvanaken Yeah, I've noticed that - some of the editorials and "think" pieces from the likes of Bari Weiss et al were actually quite disturbing, although perhaps less so within the US itself, where that level of polarisation in the media is more ingrained.

NYT already has a pretty long history of rancid both-siderism and carrying water for authoritarians and the Right, so it is curious that the owner privately leans a little Left

@mloxton Of course - not to mention conveniently looking the other way when it suits the regime du jour (see reporting in the immediate run up to the Iraq war).
My guess would be that the owner doesn't interfere with the day to day running of the editorial process.

@witewulf WHAT?? That's an absurd and frankly revolting conclusion to draw. Despicable as the world's media has been and continues to be in the reporting of the genocide, sarcasm and satire would not be the reason for this headline.
