@stux it is hosted on GitHub, so expect it to be taken down in about half a year after it gets some attention. So many instances of DMCA takedowns, yet people don't learn to be careful
@mks_h Popcorn Time still exists and maintained on GitHub to this day, and nothing has happened to it. These services don't host the content, so there's nothing to DMCA.
@cyrus I mean, copyrighters will always try to DMCA and GitHub will follow it and strike down the requested pages, as long as request sounds at least somewhat valid, because GitHub is not an arbitrator. However, you can appeal, and GitHub will restore everything: Popcorn Time repos have been brought down several times, so was youtube-dl, but those claims have no basis behind them, and usually ‘easily’ appealed.
