This is “Ro Ro Wreck Your Bout.” For a few years I had the pleasure of being her soccer coach. She was one of the best players I’ve ever had on my teams.
She recently got into roller derby and invited me to see her bout. It was so awesome. She’s an absolute beast. A brutal jammer.
And this sport is a great confidence builder for girls. It’s a place where they can realize their power and personality. I’m a new fan.
Someone asked me about my posting a photo of someone else’s child. Just wanted y’all to know that I asked permission from her and her parents. I wholly appreciate the inquiry because that’s important. But they’re good.
