I have too many USB-C cables packed, yet I already know there aren't enough.
If my Anker Power Bank didn't have a USB-C port on it, I would be tempted not to pack any USB-A cables. I'm mostly there already since my last few holdouts are Apple Lightning cables, but I have a few USB-C cables that accommodate them, plus the wireless charger.
So yes, now that I'm overthinking how many devices, cables, batteries, etc I need, that means I'm packaged and ready to go once I grab my laptop charger in the morning.
I debated not bringing my laptop on this trip since I'm not staying for sprints. For the day and a half that I'll want to be productive, the iPad still doesn't quite cut it for coding. Some day. Maybe next year.
@webology I so badly want to be able to code on my iPad. Puter.com does a decent job if I need some scratch space. Otherwise I use windows Remote Desktop for a vm I have.
@rye It's close with remote sessions, but the keyboard support frustrates me to the point I somehow close the app without meaning it. It surprises me they went out of their way to make the keyboard experience so poor.
That aside, I have a few friends who rave about remote VS Code sessions via Code Server.
@webology I decided last year that I didn’t need to tinker on code at PyCon and only brought my iPad. It worked out surprisingly well, and I was glad to not have the extra mass from the laptop.
