... hm. I kinda don't emotionally get wanting to be attractive to other people. People lie to me enough for confusing reasons, it seems tedious to give them another reason to. Like, I'm relatively sure it's possible for me to manage or whatever but... I dunno.
Was chewing on it some more... it just feels like a horrifying vulnerability. Like, people forming opinions of me in ways I can't influence or even understand? Seeing me in ways I can't?
@Dani Heh. As ridiculous as Victorian/Regency social norms and customs were, there's something to be said for "go away, you're not allowed to talk to me until we have been properly introduced by someone who knows us both".
