I often see the "REMOVE YOUR BATTERIES" advice repeated but is that just for alkaline batteries, or should watch batteries/LI batteries be removed too?

In my experience watch batteries just die and I haven't yet had rechargable AA/AAAs expand but I've had a few spicy pillow 'standard' Li batteries so I removed the battery from my PSP. Most of my other old Li batteries are much harder to get to.

@SirTapTap oh jeez, yeah I have had AA/AAA batteries leak after a long time.

but yeah you just reminded me when I got my PSP out of the drawer for first time in ages and the battery had swollen like crazy. :O

@Carnivius alkaline AA/AAAs can leak crazy early actually, I hate the fucking things. They last long if you use them regularly and don't want to swap batteries, but after a few kids toys getting obliterated in maybe 5-10 years tops I've gone 100% Li AA/AAAs
