@N4JAW can I ask how you got that big wire up in the tree and what it's for? Is that your antenna? Very cool if so! And what the big bar is attached to your saddle? I see you already have a kickstand but is that like, an additional MEGA kickstand because of how encumbered the bike is?

I use an arborist throw line and weight to get my #AmateurRadio#hamradio antenna wire into trees. This time its up about 40 feet.
The bar is a selfie stick, which I started using many years ago with my Surly Long Haul Trucker touring bike when I bike tour. It's always fully loaded with 4 panniers which makes it rather lopsided heavy for a standard kickstand. On my portable Ham Radio operations most times the ground is unlevel so I was the selfie stick bar for better support.
@N4JAW thank you for the explanations, that's genius with the arborist line, I imagine that makes it so fast to deploy and pack down (and safer than climbing)! I see, that makes a lot of sense re the kickstand, good to have the stability. Have a nice day!
