May the 4th was with me. The FORCE was strong with this one as the bands were awful again as expected with approaching storms. Hot, muggy and steamy weather on Kentucky Derby Day in Louisville, KY. #amateurradio#Hamradio#pota#parksontheair
Horrendous day but GREAT time during today's #pota#parksontheair activation. An EXCELLENT chance to sharpen my listening skills through the #QSB on 40 meters. I felt like "Seaman Jones" in "The Hunt for Red October". "I Can Bag Him" #morsecode#AmateurRadio#hamradio@ParksOnTheAir
Another day another different antenna. 40 - 15 #linkeddipole built specifically for my #hb1b. 25' RG174 Coax extension kite holders with kite string to support ends of legs of dipole, stakesbto hold in place & 125' arborist line with 14oz weight #hamradio#amateurradio#pota#parksontheair@ParksOnTheAir
Today's #Morsecode#pota#parksontheair catch before the bands went SOUTH ⬇️. Even caught a couple of QSOs above 30 WPM and spent 30 continuous minutes with a couple of youths and their parents explaining my antenna and #hamradio#amateurradio.
