It is difficult to point people in directions on this topic, because it is very personal. Everyone has different goals/demands/wishes...
But I can give you some insights in the project I'm currently running.
My focus is on keeping everything internal, with a focus on privacy. Additionally, the house should be able to operate mostly by itself. I don't want to use a voice assistant. I feel it is a bit tacky to ask "... Can you turn on the lights in room x". While most of the time, humans behave in patterns, and the system can be pre programmed to just do what you want most of the time.
Currently we are completely renovating a '70s house in The Netherlands. We completely stripped it and are now rewiring it.
As for my future setup, I am working towards the following:
Home assistant to be the brain, I already have a prototype running in my current home
All wires of the lights are ran directly to Shelly pro's, same applies for the switches. This allows me to maintain the standard usability of a light switch (push button and then the light turns on) but also control it through home assistant.
All outdoor lighting will go to Shelly pro's as well
Various other less permanent infrastructure to control automations, think about battery powered/wired sensors
If you don't want to go this route, with what you mention, you can also add Shelly's (or other brand) behind the switches to make them smart. Or use smart light bulbs, but I feel that works less ideal, because people should learn not to touch the light switches, otherwise it will ruin the usability.
On a final note, Home Assistant doesn't require you to do advanced automations. You can just as easily run it "basic" and use it as a button interface. The nice thing is, it will provide you with options in case you want to extend something.
I probably use ChatGPT the most. I don’t specifically ask it to write code, often code it writes may compile but can be janky. But I will tell it sometimes what I’m trying to achieve, and how I’m going to do it. It can suggest different approaches that can be useful, it lets me rubber duck effectively on solo projects.
Other than that, EasyDiffusion. Not so much for finished art works, but much like the above, it’s great for providing inspiration. I’ve been looking for a voice generator but yet to find an easy to setup, free, solution
This absolutely won't be the last time we see this happen in a campaign. If conservatives believe only what they hear and can't be convinced they were lied to, it'll be impossible to convince them a photo is fake.
The site should show the percentage. It's currently at over 90% of subs (which is really awesome), but i can't calculate the % of subscriptions because i don't know the total amount.
I'm the fool who pays for ChatGPT and the v4 is pretty good. However, I think I open to trying whatever you meant to link to. (Granted, the link doesn't work for me)
Would large waves not bend the spine of the structure, or potentially even flip the whole thing over? Really cool to see the use of the ocean as a large flat surface for solar
