I never managed to play it, but I wanted to mention Fairy Meat, most likely the only 1:1 scale #wargame ever published.
The combatants are fairies that are really into cannibalism (because nothing tastes better than fairy meat naturally) and the rulebook contains paper wings so you can convert your normal #28mm minis into life-size fairies.
One of the things I adore about it is the use of plush toys/garden decoration as fairy thralls, or garden gnomes as...well... gnomes.
