Had dinner at a Mexican restaurant in San Dimas this evening. On the wall next to our table was a poster of the front page of The San Francisco Chronicle from April 1916.

Far below the fold and the sordid tales of Pancho Villa’s battles, this article had the table in stitches. It is best read out loud for maximum effect.

The writing in today’s papers can’t hold a candle to this fantastical reporting!
