🆕 Daniel Alves is the scientific curator of the exhibition “Lisbon in revolution, 1383-1974“, which will open next Saturday, 25 May, at the Museum of Lisbon – Pimenta Palace, as part of the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of 25 April 1974.
👨🎓 We wish Paulo Alexandre Alves the best of luck as he defends his doctoral thesis on the episcopate in the Portuguese Constitutional Monarchy tomorrow, 13 March.
📖 As a result of his doctoral research at the IHC, Diogo Duarte has published an article on #Anarchism, #PublicOrder and #SocialHousing in Portugal in the first half of the 20th century.
🆕 The IHC couldn’t miss the call and so we are launching our first programme of scientific, educational, and cultural activities to mark the 50th anniversary of 25 April 1974, a key milestone in Portugal’s history.
(Free) Registration is now open for the IHC / Drexel University workshop "The Colonization of Portugal", which will take place at the National Library of Portugal on 13 and 14 December.
The challenge is to inquire the importance of colonial dynamics in the making of metropolitan Portugal.
