#MAHB is said to be mulling on hiring a #IJM Corp-led consortium to carry on with the #aerotrain replacement project that was halted in August, according to sources familiar with the matter.
MAHB is currently ironing out the details before issuing the letter of intent to the consortium for the resumption of upgrading of the automated people mover (#APM) system.
Earlier this morning, a small #fire broke out within the main terminal building of Kuala Lumpur International Airport (#KLIA) Terminal 1 and was immediately put out by Airport Fire and Rescue Services, and Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia.
Investigations confirmed that the #incident was caused by disposed #cigarette butts.

Malaysia Airports' Airport Fire Rescue Services team as well as Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia attended to and put out a small #fire that occurred at the main terminal building of Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 1.
The fire caused some smoke that is visible at Level 3 and Level 5 of Terminal 1.
