This electrically operated ribbon loom from 1869 comes from Wuppertal-Ronsdorf and is now in the Open Air Museum Lindlar (Oberbergischer Kreis, West-Germany). Three generations of one family operated it until 1970. Since the second half of the 18th century, Ronsdorf was an important centre of ribbon weaving in the Bergisches Land (North Rhine-Westphalia).
As you can see, several ribbons can be woven at once.

The former hammer mill (water mill) built around 1800 originally stood in Lindlar-Oberleppe (Oberbergischer Kreis) and processed iron until the 1870s. With the start of industrial steel production in the Ruhr area, many hammer mills in the Bergisches Land region ceased operations or underwent a change of use, including this one. From then on, it became a rag mill: the so-called artificial or torn wool was made from the torn textiles.
The hammer mill is now in the Lindlar Open-Air Museum.

This reconstruction of the Baroque (from 1683) St. Barbara Chapel from Rösrath-Hellenthal (Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis, near Cologne) is in the Open Air Museum Lindlar (Oberbergischer Kreis). It is one of two still existing similar chapels in the area built in half-timbered style.
