Ram said that he originally wrote it as a poem, without music, while in college. Original instrumental recordings of "Twilight Time" included those made respectively by the Three Suns (1944) and #LesBrownAndHisBandOfRenown (1945). Les Brown's version of "Twilight Time" was recorded in November 1944. https://youtu.be/KAc4PKumQps
"Knock Three Times" is a #popularSong credited simply to "#Dawn", obscuring the actual performers. The song was released as a single which hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in January 1971 and eventually sold six million copies. It reached No. 2 on 'Billboard's "Easy Listening" survey. Outside the US, "Knock Three Times" also claimed the No. 1 spot on the #UKSinglesChart. https://youtu.be/iUUv9S3LKII
Robin Sarstead with "Let's fall in love". Fast bits, and slow bits, and bits that sound like "Norwegian wood". Sounds like the sort of thing Doris Day could have sung in 1962.
Turns out to be written by Arlen and Koehler for a 1933 movie. A 2023 equivalent is "Turtle power".
Isn't going to make the top 50, which is a bit of a shame.
