I've been putting off re-writing a little shiny map app as pure leaflet for a client and thought YES!
Seems some javascript bits and peices aren't possible yet, but the error message is very cute, the eyes even blink!

I'll be watching this develop with interest (and writing some javascript in the mean time)

I was shopping for technical fabrics online, as one does. And I stumbled on Rip Stop by the Roll and it looks really cool.

They do a lot of technical fabrics like light weight waterproof and breathable fabrics that are hard to find. I sort of like the idea of sewing 21st century fabrics with my 1950’s sewing machine :)

@robinlovelace @opengeohub another great vs code pro is ease of use when connected to a remote server.

I've recently been using RStudio locally to develop shiny apps then once deployed using vs code to tinker/maintain

@ct_bergstrom argh, why am I not surprised. As a very early career academic I'm very grateful to be in a team where these metrics aren't valued and happy to transition through academia if that becomes unsustainable
