Happy #InternationalDayOfTransgenderVisibility! Today I'm reading "Jesse's Girl" by Reese Morrison, a romance novella detailing trans representation and identity.
I'm aiming to be more intentional about reading diversely, so this will be the first of many books featuring trans characters and/or written by trans authors.
If you have any recs, please let me know. Thank you!
For contemporary romance with trans characters, I recommend Chef's Choice by TJ Alexander and To Touch the Light by EM Lindsey.
If you enjoy the fantasy genre, Rainbow Island by Devin Harnois is a coming of age story with a varied queer cast including trans characters.
I also really enjoyed The Black Tides of Heaven by Neon Yang. It is epic fantasy in a world where people can magically choose their gender as they age. The world building is nuanced and very rich.
#CurrentlyReading “The Christmas Wish List” by N R Walker, the second in a four book series.

Jayden, an Australian chef, takes on a temporary cooking job in a B&B. Cass is opening his B&B just before Christmas and is coming to terms with a lot of changes in his life.
I had planned to move onto more scary books and #DarkRomance at this stage in #SpookySeason, but the world right now is a nightmare and I don't need more horror in my life at this time... #CurrentlyReading "Watt and Bothered" by Fiona Davenport - a "shocking" tale of electric attraction between the MCs.
On the 24th day of #RomanceAwarenessMonth I would like to thank Penny Reid for the #WinstonBrothers#RomanceSeries. Each brother has unique traits and they find their HEAs with interesting & intriguing FMCs. Basically, I fell into the #GreenValley rabbit hole and devoured most of the spin offs. I just might be obsessed! My fave brothers are Beau and Roscoe.
Do you have a favourite Winston brother? Or perhaps recs for a similar series about one family?
#JustFinishedReading "Heartsong" by A E Wasp, one of the books in the #VinoAndVeritas series. The MMCs have some tough issues to go through, but they are so sweet to each other! Shipley's Cider is referenced (IYKYK) and Vermont weather plays a key part in the plot... ⚠️TW for homophobic family members, kidnapping and PTSD because of off the page conversion therapy. I really liked this book!

Didn’t ever think that #Academia would be a sexy #WorkPlaceRomance setting, but the following books proved me wrong!
“Office Hours” by Katrina Jackson;
“(Trust) Falling For You” by Charish Reid;
“Absolute Lovers” by S J Hooks (Please note, this is a Student/Professor romance).
If you have any recs in this sub-genre, please do not hesitate to share them in the comments. Thank you in advance
@Diva007@romancelandia The Missed Connection by Denise Williams is a novella in her Love and Other Flight Delays series that totally fits the bill. It was my favourite of the 3.
My other rec is Heart Smart by Emma Lee Jayne. That one hit all my buttons.
@Diva007@romancelandia@romancebooks oops, I was thinking of a different series I think. Sometimes readers will add a book to a series on Goodreads when the author doesn't technically want them to be (for a variety of reasons), but that's not the case here. Though I think Roommate is supposed to be the first, not the last? Either way it's all in the same world.
