Gummy squirrel is a new species discovered in 2022. Found in deep-sea abyss it looks like a stretchy half-peeled banana

GummySquirrel,

Looks like we’ll get to see more of Action Saru next week 😁

GummySquirrel,

I have not been able to log in at all, even after trying multiple browsers, until today! Glad to be back

Was there any more clarification on whether this instance would “defederate” from Meta? I remember reading about it ~5 months ago and posting a general query. IIRC the response was “we’ll cross that bridge if/when we get to it”.

I only have very basic knowldge of how the fediverse works, but does this mean Meta (Threads) is connected on lemmy ?

GummySquirrel,

Because humans introducing species to new environments always goes well 😩

This sucks, my 10 yr old dog is 2/3 of the way through a 9kg bag 😵‍💫 Update: I was able to swap it for a new 9kg bag. Our original bag wasn’t affected by mould luckily

GummySquirrel,

Your friends not wrong. The link with european arrival in north and south america was intentional for the film.

GummySquirrel,

Jake Sully has no personality other than being mystified by the world.

Agree, and his purpose is to introduce us to the alien world. Him becoming a leader is one aspect that didnt sit right with me. He didn’t earn enough goodwill to do that. Its just trust the superior humanoid, because he did something my great grandfather did.

GummySquirrel,

Seems like alot of people agree with your take. Despite its flaws, viewers found it and the sequel entertaining. I can’t see it working as a novel though.

Spotlight on / controversy about corporate manipulation of Rotten Tomatoes (www.vulture.com)

Leaving aside bias towards the American market and critics, this latest criticism of Rotten Tomatoes influence comes from this September 6th piece from Vulture. The report provides new evidence of PR firms paying critics and persuading them to keep negative reviews off of Rotten Tomatoes tracking....

GummySquirrel,

Enshittification strikes again

"But the system is broken. Audiences are dumber. Normal people don’t go through reviews like they used to. Rotten Tomatoes is something the studios can game. So they do.”

GummySquirrel,

Fun! Though i like that this community is different to reddit.

Interesting, I havent watched any of the animated star treks. Enjoy beevis ans butthead.😆

GummySquirrel,

Great recommendations thanks 😃

GummySquirrel,

Being somewhat new to trek, I bought the Picard movie & tv collection box set prior to season 1 airing and thoroughly enjoyed it. Might be a good time to revisit these + picard series😊

GummySquirrel,

I havent watched much TNG only " the best of both worlds" and “chain of command” as they were in the picard tv & movie collection. If you have any episodes of TNG to recommend please let me know

GummySquirrel,

I started with DISCO, then PIC, then SNW. I don’t think there’s any particular reason I haven’t watched TAS, Lower Decks or Prodigy🤔

GummySquirrel,

Enjoy!

GummySquirrel,

I might dive in and watch sub Rosa as well 🙂

GummySquirrel,

Yes I’ve read that snowpiercer s4 is completed but there’s no word on which network will air it 😮‍💨

Enjoy DS9!

GummySquirrel,

Thank you I will!
