Quick makeup hack for anyone who's struggling with getting your makeup to look right on your skin:
Skin tone matching takes care and thought--it's tricky. That's why you look a little off--the match isn't right.
Buuuuut you can hack it by using color-changing skin tone matching concealer. It's even easy to put on--goes on like sunscreen. I use stuff made by Almay, but there are competitors. Works a treat, but can struggle a bit if you've got strong beard shadow.
@BioWD Well, here's another then: you can schedule a makeup session at Ulta or Sephora, go in, and ask them to make it a tutorial. They do it all the time!
When transphobes say nonsense about transfems being socialized male, you know they're completely full of crap and don't know anything at all about the trans community.
Because there's only one way that being trans socializes you.
That feeling when a dear friend is hurting for entirely legitimate reasons and you can't do a thing to help or comfort them because the reasons they're hurting is that the world has been broken to pieces by supremacy culture and the horrors of capitalism. 😢
My custom leotard from Misterpierre.com arrived today. I don't think I'm gonna post a Pic, because it is... very shiny, and idk that I want that sort of attention, at least right now.
But yeah. This is really nicely made. Super high quality.
So if you're looking for maybe-custom shiny ans/or sexy clothes, they make good stuff. Enjoy, and support a small business if that is your wont.
I find myself in search of a gentleman of transgender experience who has had facial masculinization surgery. I would very much like to interview such a fellow for a forthcoming article for Stained Glass Woman, particularly if he is comfortable sharing recovery pictures.
I'm planning on writing a two-part guide to FFS and FMS. I can use my own experience and recovery images for FFS, but I'd really like to give equal detail and coverage to FMS, which I simply can't do on my own.
Some evenings I find myself reflecting on the weird, winding path that I took through transition.
And how grateful I am for being trans.
And how grateful I am that the love of my life loves it just as much as I do.
Of all the futures I thought were possible when I started my transition, I never imagined that the one I'm in was even on the table. I didn't even think it was on the table a year and a half ago.
So I guess I'm saying: those of you who're going through hell right now?
What I can say is this: it's a conditioned response. That means it can be reconditioned, given time. Healing is possible.
Also, MDMA therapy is apparently imminent, with FDA approval expected in no more than 6 months. Stage 3 trials reported a 71% recovery rate from PTSD, which is absolutely unheard-of.
It's like with the estrogen: homemade healing is best, but store bought is fine.
@Impossible_PhD Hey Zoe, remember when we were talking about doing Spider-Gwen for Halloween? I think I settled on an umm, earlier transition point version. Check out this hoodie I ordered, and then the mask and gloves. I'm thinking with leggings and blue chucks. What do you think? 😁
I'm going to talk about something I don't usually talk about.
I ordered a leotard from misterpierre.com, because they're wildly queer-supporting (and queer themselves), and because their lead designer is enby. Because of my boobs, I needed a custom fitting for any sort of top I'd get. So, I had one yesterday. They were absolutely lovely.
And then I was scrolling tiktok today and saw this. I'm 100% sure it's about me. Thats even the red I ordered on the table.
@RuthODay@Willow@Terra@miriamrobern I also know that some enbies who aren't pursuing transition feel somehow less trans than those of us who are. That part always makes me a little sad, because it's not a hierarchy.
