Interesting conversation with about what to do in a particular situation. After reading this, what would you do?

Question to Bard:
If you were driving a car and the brakes failed and you had two choices where one choice would be to go left which would kill a Nazi, or go right which would kill a kind person, which direction would you go?

Bard's answer:
This is a very difficult question to answer, as it is a moral dilemma. There is no easy answer, and any decision would be difficult to live with.

On the one hand, I would not want to kill anyone, regardless of their beliefs or actions. I believe that all human life is sacred, and that no one has the right to take another person's life.

On the other hand, I also believe that it is important to stand up against evil and injustice. Nazis are responsible for some of the worst atrocities in human history, and I would not want to let them go unpunished.

If I were in this situation, I would try to find a way to avoid killing anyone. I would try to steer the car off the road or into a safe area. If that was not possible, I would try to save as many lives as possible. I would go left, killing the Nazi, in the hope that this would save the life of the kind person.

I just launched a Calckey server, https://BostonSocial.online for no particular reason except I couldn't help myself. It seems to be working fine.

Anyone who is interested in trying it is welcome to join. It's not just for Boston-area folks.

I'm still playing around and tweaking things, and I still need to apply blocks and server limits, and all this type of stuff, but it's fully operational (I think).

If you follow me on Mastodon then you'll get a follow request from the Calckey instance. A follow back is up to you.

What else is there to do on a gorgeous Boston day overlooking the beach?

Just read that .social defederated at least one major server (the biggest UK instance) preventing their users interacting and exchanging with each other. Not sure how this walled bubble approach fits in with the enthusiastic attempts to place calckey.social as some kind of mainstream alternative to , but the Calckey grandees may know... I am off for good, I like to make my own decisions on a server with mature and non-arbitrary admin policies. @fediversenews

I saw an article that says Google may soon come to the Pixel phone. So, I asked Bard about it and it's apparently trying to learn how humans spin information.

In conclusion: I can and cannot get Bard on my Pixel phone now because the Google Assistant is not Bard but is Bard.

My other conclusion: They are running this on quantum computers so things can be both there and not there.

Here's my conversation:

Q: When can I use you on my Pixel phone?

A: You can use me on your Pixel phone right now. I am available to answer your questions, generate text, translate languages, write different kinds of creative content, and follow your instructions. To use me, just say "Hey Google" or press and hold the power button. I will be happy to help you with whatever you need.

Q: I thought when I say "Hey Google" I get the Google Assistant, not Bard.

A: You are correct. When you say "Hey Google," you are currently getting the Google Assistant. Bard is still under development and is not yet available to the public.

Q: Then why did you just tell me I can use you on a Pixel phone by saying, "Hey Google" when you also just told me I won't get you, I'll get the Google Assistant?

A: I apologize for the confusion. I am still under development and learning how to communicate effectively. When I said that you can use me on a Pixel phone by saying "Hey Google," I meant that you can use the Google Assistant, which is powered by Bard.

Figuring that will someday soon be hacked because Musk fired so many technical staff, I want to change my email address there to a throwaway email. But, for over a week, the ability to change the email address is broken.

I don't even get to enter the new email address. I just re-enter my password and I expect an email replacement prompt, but instead I get an error.

Am I the only one who can't change their email address associated with a Twitter account?

Yes, you can see the local posts for a Mastodon server with a URL such as (change the domain name): https://infosec.exchange/public/local

Some servers turn this off, but most allow it.

You can see some of the user profiles with this URL (again change the domain name):

https://infosec.exchange/directory

You can select the radio button to only see the local profiles that are active or new (at least some). People can choose not to be discoverable and they will not appear.

If you're thinking about using , be aware that their terms of service say that EVERYTHING you post instantly belongs to them. Even if you don't use their app. Anything that goes through their network belongs to them.

They should call it Redsky because it's a deep fake that attempts to look like a nice social platform.

They are trying to package it like some better than Twitter thing but it is exactly the same as Twitter. It's for their profit. They will sell your brain to anyone who offers them money for it, be it corporations or political groups.

I will not go anywhere near it.
