IMO pixel phones are still the best for security an degoogling with grepheneOS also you should look into the downsides of having a customOS like linage that unlock your bootloader and can root your phone. They are worse for security then a regular phone.

So I think newest pixel with graphene OS is the best option still as they are the only phones that use the titan chip

It doesnt unlock the bootloader or root your phone. Which is the most important security your phone can have. While any that root your phone leave it wide open to maid attacks

OK not sure about that will do some reasearch myself, but a photo of them saying they did it in a YouTube video is a weird piece of proof

But my point is that grapheneOS doesnt require the bootloader to be unlocked or root the phone which itself is the main defense in your phone from those attacks so unless others dont unlock the bootloader they are just worse for that reason alone. From 2022 but still relevant Article on bootloader and rooting

Lol I understand it perfectly its just dumb and needs to change. I will participate in the system but I strongly disagree with everything and will continue to voice my anger and disagreement with the fucking world. I vote, I strike, I volunteer, I go to city planning meetings for god sake. I know what im talking about, I’m trying to make a change dude.

This constant squabbling over things that really dont matter in the end is fucking insane. We all see the politicians promise the world and deliver nothing yet we continue to play the game. The amount of times they have proved corruption is part and parcel of the system should be enough to tell you what they really want. I am just trying to point out there is another way. We dont have to play the game they dictate.

To be honest im not sure exactly More transparent to start, maybe restraints on corporate lobbying, more involvement with the people like public volunteer panels to discuss policies and other stuff. Thats just off the top of my head but I sure there are thousands of ways we could improve the system but we should at least try something else because I think we can all agree its shit

Just because my ideas align with “left politics” doesnt mean I believe in the system sure some have good ideas but usually it involves capitalism and that shit is a sickness. I also believe nationalism and patriotism have become a sickness. Once were useful but weve outgrown that. I want a better world for everyone even the fucking assholes that dont want a better world (capitalists you have to hurt people to get more) maybe we need to stop being so inclusive and cull some assholes no trials. Personally I want some variant of socialism.

But I’m not Naive and know things happen slowly and in steps so I will work with what I have to strive for what I want. In the end humanity is so immature as a species we really need to grow more consciencely to grown as a society IMO

IMO that’s not what is holding back Linux from adoption. there are great forums with great people and they happen to be in the distros for beginners. You can use your argument with any small enthusiasts groups and that was my point toxicness is not caused by Linux. I personally believe its windows and Mac forcing themselves on people. Have you ever been to a store to buy a computer and someone said hey would you like to try this free OS that installs and acts just like windows instead of buying windows for 100 bucks? Lol its just marketing.

The problem is linux is palatable there are many distros that are prebuilt to run like a Mac or windows they just have no way of marketing like Microsoft or apple.

that is because of the Open source licences. If they were able to sell their product do you think linux would be as far behind as it is today?

If those thousands of companies that use linux every single day had to pay a sub fee instead of measily (tax writeoff)donations do you think think XZ would have been hacked? If they could compete in the capitalist race would they be this far behind? IMO no and the open source license is a blessing and a curse

I agree both windows and Mac were once great viable OSes now they are just an advertising machine with apps

linux distros have been held back not by those companies specifically but with how licensing works its really fucked any sort of fulltime development

a company telling me that my perfectly working hardware is not viable for their new OS and not giving me an option with security updates is a boogieman IMO
