Someone in the @TMiP WhatsApp group told me about a TikTok game where you're shown a sequence of five numbers, and have to guess what order they go in.

I've made my own version of it: https://somethingorotherwhatever.com/number-order-game/

"Order those numbers! You'll be shown five numbers, between 100 and 999. Try to guess what order the numbers will go in, from smallest to biggest." I'm shown 995, 164, 706, 576 and 227, and place them in 5th, 1st, 4th, 3rd and 2nd positions. Then it says "You did it!"

A wonderful explanation from Grant Sanderson 3Bue1Brown about the divided circle problem & the reasoning WHY there are 31 regions with 6 points (not 32 as pattern might suggest).

I'm really excited because I've never seen this explained before & the connections are wonderful! (I've only ever seen it as an example of not assuming patterns continue with only inductive reasoning evidence... I think HS math Ss can grasp this by algebra 2...)
