Awwww yisssss, my new kitchen scale arrived!
It's actually about 45 years old but it's a genuine Suzy brand (made in #newzealand when we used to make stuff here).
It's taken lots of effort but my 1970s kitchen is really starting to look period perfect. 😊

Got to drive the Ora Good Cat for a couple of days and made a video about it (with many terrible cat puns).
It's affordable, drives well, is spacious & well kitted out, but doesn't have seated heats or a towing rating, plus the menu is cumbersome.
Good value overall, though.

@KiwiEV loved the 500 video, I know it's not wildly cheap. But gi en our second hand i3 was 30k, getting a new car for less than twice the price with twice the range is great.

The only downside is not being able to fit people in the back.

Has anyone here driven the Fiat 500e?
I churned out yet another crap video, but I really did enjoy driving this microbe.
It's not the cheapest (or fastest) EV around but it's so adorable I just don't care!

Also, the video of driving a 120 year old electric car in modern traffic will be live today.
It's both fascinating and quite funny. Hope you all enjoy it.
And as of 40 minutes ago, Facebook has finally blocked my electric car page but they can't say why. It's "under review" for "violations".
Good heavens Facebook is a dystopian website.

Currently 98% humidity which is awful but I'm trying to make incremental progress each night. The engine bay should be ready for a respray in a week (I hope), then the Nissan Leaf electric motor installation can be attempted (I hope).

Any ideas why this video has flopped harder than than my videos usually flop?
Not an expensive enough car? Is it the thumbnail?
Frustrating that a 19 year old can scratch a microphone for 2 minutes, call it "ASMR", and get nine million views while I pour four days of energy into a video and can't even hit 2,000!

Quick (lack of) progress update: got the electric motor ready to go in but first I have to fix the surface rust on the firewall.
It was mentioned in the car's last safety inspection so I better fix it.
Just mildly out of money so I can't afford paint at this instant. 😬
Gotta be patient for a while.
I miiiight have picked the wrong cost of living crisis to start an EV conversion!
