Mrs. Troi, this is a great picture. Would you share where and when you took it?

I just finished setting up Linux Mint for an old buddy of mine on his old dog of a laptop, rendering it useful once again! (i.imgur.com)

Edit 2: to everyone suggesting an SDD: i know. Look, if this guy had enough $$$ for an SSD, he could buy a used lappy less than half the age of this one that has an ssd and 2-3x the memory....

This is so cool and wholesome, thank you.

Thank you for tricking me into good luck.

I’m sure it’s fun, really, but having a rootkit in a PVE game and that PSN requirement on top, that all seems fishy. I know Sony backed off for now, but like you said, it’s a live service and they might change it again. I still hope players can enjoy it and have a great time.

Not at all, in Linux Mint for example I simply picked the recommended driver and I had no issues with that.

To Cinnamon? What did you experience, please?

I’m using Steam without any issues on Linux Mint. If you consider that, people prefer installing the .deb from the website over flatpak or the version of the Software Manager in Mint.

Thank you for elaborating!

This really caught my eye, but does it make sense for an older PC?

I’m using a web-based reader for that, it does the syncing for me. For example freshrss.org or www.commafeed.com

I do that quite often - turn down the difficulty and simply enjoy the story. Sometimes, when a game is very long for example, but I still love the characters and the story, I watch one of those “game movies” of people who made different choices or followed different paths.

Hey, looks good! The sound panel (Menu - Sound & Video or simply type “sound”) should let you choose and test your headset. Let us know how it goes!

Oh I see. I personally haven’t used any particularly lightweight browser, but maybe one of those would do the job: itsfoss.com/lightweight-web-browsers-linux/Glad to hear you like it so far! Hope it all checks out.
