Being on Fedi is like having that social experimentation and discovery experience I never really had in high school except it's full of awesome queer people.

The most mildly amusing thing to me about being new on fedi and getting used to things is number discrepancies for viewing on remote instances. Multiple times I've seen someone have a handful of followers and be like "ah they just like me" and then actually bother to check remote instance and find out it's actually several hundred+, most of the time going into quad digits.
And being made to realize it's just a number like anything else and they're still just a person like everyone else, which is kinda cool honestly. It's happened to me at least like 7 times in the couple months I've been around :strawb_giggle:
I hop into VC with some folks I don't usually get the chance to see, after a bit nervously say "hello"
a few moments later "Oh Lian, I like your voice"

So I've found in the past year in particular that I didn't actually know my spice tolerance too well. I always avoided it in the past because it never sounded appealing, but during this last while I've found that I actually really like spicy food, like a lot, and haven't actually cone across anything that is "too hot" for me yet.
This prompted my gf to decide that she wanted to see if there was a limit and we picked up a package of ghost pepper ramen from the jp marketplace.
I've been mentally preparing the past few days :gura_extra_sweat:
