Mr_Dr_Oink,

Is seeing is, explicitly, believing, then we need to talk about magicians.

Mr_Dr_Oink,

The crease doesn’t matter. Had a fold 3 for almost 3 years, and the crease has never bothered me. You dont see it when using the devices. you do from other angles, but even then, it’s dependant on external light. I have never found a situation where the crease being there has ever been a problem. And I challenge you to give me a good example.

This is the one thing people say that I feel is mostly rooted in a form of propaganda, or like a rumour if that makes sense. You have been told about the crease and it was made to sound bad you personally believe the crease would be bad and it all joins up to form a strange, baseless bias that the crease is bad. You have admitted yourself that you dont own one, so I can safely assume you haven’t held one for long enough to realise that the crease wouldn’t bother you if you had one of these phones.

Also, like I said, I’ve had mine for almost 3 years and it’s still going strong. I replaced the screen protector once because I accidentally scratched it but I did that myself with a £15 kit I got on amazon. So the lifespan is fine. Your bias is unfounded. You should use one as a daily driver for a bit and than review your opinion.

Edit. Inb4 “you’re butthurt”. Idc. I dont think I am, because I’m just arguing the side of someone who has one, but I dont mind if you wanna think im just angry cause you insulted my choice to buy one. I know from personal experience the only real downside to this phone is the narrow outer screen and that only really bothers me when I’m watching video, but then why would I use the outer screen for that? For general use that screen is fine.

Mr_Dr_Oink,

I guess im gonna have bee movie playing on a loop as my desktop background.

Mr_Dr_Oink,

Uk copper network is due to shutdown by (was 2025 but I was recently informed its been pushed back to 2027) so I expect it will all be VoIP soon enough.

Mr_Dr_Oink,

And music production, that takes a tonne of space.

Mr_Dr_Oink,

What use do we have today for a music focused media player? Is it common for people to use mp3, flac or wav for playing music? I feel like music streaming services hold the market here.

I like winamp back when it was an alternative for the basic windows media player to listen to all my music but I dont keep mp3s anymore so I don’t know if I can see the point.

Was it anything more than just a music player with eq and skins? Did I miss the point back then?

Maybe I just don’t have the vision that others have and will be pleasantly suprised when someone comes up with a good use case and develops it.

Mr_Dr_Oink,

Giant van. Slanted wall is the windshield, walls are the doors and back wall is seats. All painted on.

Or a space ship, same vibe.

Gotta be a themed room.

Could also make it the outside of the tardis from doctor who, so it’s bigger on the outside but technically the outside is the inside. You are outside the tardis when you are inside the room.

Or do it like harry potters under the stairs cupboard.

Mindflayer was used for Baldurs Gate 3 (sort of)

Mr_Dr_Oink,

The big bad isn’t a mind flayer, though, is it?

Mr_Dr_Oink,

Right, so circling back.

They used mind flayers for bg3 (sort of).

Mr_Dr_Oink, (edited )

But the statement was in response to using mindflayers as the main antagonist. Or the big bad. Which we both agree, they were not. So whilst they were a big part of the plot they were not the main bad guy and so…

To circle back

They were used in bg3 (sort of)

Edit: also sort of doesnt mean “they didnt use them fully” it means they weren’t the big bad but they were very closely linked. The big bad was the netherbrain alongsode gortash. Not the mind flayers. You can look that up.

Wgen the final boss is a mindflayer(s) then come back to me and let me know. Until then, dont tell me what i meant when i said sort of…

Mr_Dr_Oink,

Worse than the gameboy?

But seriously. Graphics are nice, but without good gameplay, i’m just watching a movie.

You can have all the fancy graphics you want, but they dont make games good. They just enhance games. If the game is boring, then all the graphics in the world won’t save it.

Mr_Dr_Oink,

I thought there were many aspects of the games directly tied to fram rate.

I know that, at least in the case of mario 64, Speed runners abuse game mechanics tied to frame rate to perform tricks such as backwards long jump and other door hacks. Marios eyes blinking are tied to frame rate, they used this to identify faked speed runs in some cases.

I imagine there must be other things aswell.

Mr_Dr_Oink,

You will take 1/64th of a plain cheese and like it.

Mr_Dr_Oink,

It’s spelled differently so both pronunciations are correct. Aluminum and aluminium.theres an extra i in the UK spelling.

Mr_Dr_Oink,

Krumble cromble might be my favourite new thing to say.

What is this alphabet and one if you ordered these words phonetically?

Mr_Dr_Oink,

This reminds me of my giant turd analogy.

Basically, there is this giant turd, its enormous, biggest thing you’ve ever seen Everyone is fighting and climbing over each other to touch thia turd. The more of your body that touches the turd the more you own.

At the bottom, people are barely getting a tip of their finger through the crowds to touch the turd, some cant touch it at all. They are poor or homeless.

As you move up the turd there are people with a whole hand on the turd, they are coping, they get by, pretty average amount of turd to be touching.

Some people have two hands on the turd and they do pretty well, quite well off.

Then theres those who are whole bodies in the turd, they are rolling in it, they have some put away that others can’t touch. They are set for life.

But then, you look up, and its jeff bezos, elon musk et al. Sitting on the rim of a giant toilet seat in the sky all taking a massive dump…

Its a shit analogy but its accurate.

I guess it would be more concise to say the mega rich are eating chicken whilst the rest of us fight for the scraps that fall off the table.

Mr_Dr_Oink,

A fair point. However, reading the OP back, it seems to me that they aren’t dismissing “forever” as success. They are only stating that its not the only acceptable definition of it.

The way i see it, some things that require never-ending commitment to be deemed a success and others don’t, but that’s not how society sees it in general.

I think messages like the one in the post are a good thing to read and think about how they apply to your own life.

Mr_Dr_Oink,

Amazing how i recognised this picture immediately. I thinkni saw that video once. Crazy.

Mr_Dr_Oink,

Ha! Barely sentient. I’m definitely gonna start saying that.
