I’m amazed this inept fool lasted as long as he did

iPad Pro with M4 chip boasts impressive performance jump compared to just-released M3 MacBook Air (9to5mac.com)

On raw performance might, the M4 really does live up to Apple’s promises, should deliver. Single core is up about 20% compared to all M3 chips and more than 40% compared to M2. The generational computational leap from the previous M2 iPad Pro is at least a 42% jump on single-core and multi-core.

Maybe they’ll finally announce something interesting at WWDC. I’m ready to be hurt again

Every year when June rolls around I wonder if they’ll do something significant with iPadOS at WWDC and it’s never the case.

Both modes worked for me on series X, I wonder why I was fine but others had issues

I thought they did a decent job of providing historical context while refraining from condoning Jefferson’s actions.

Mom of captured U.S. soldier Gordon Black says girlfriend 'lured' him to Russia (www.nbcnews.com)

The worried mother of a U.S. soldier in Russian custody said Wednesday that her son “was lured” there by a Russian woman he had been seeing in South Korea for over a year and that he’s being held on trumped-up charges of stealing roughly $100 from her....

When I originally read about this I assumed he was some dumb kid, but someone that’s been in the service for 16 years should know better.

Arrowhead CEO says Helldivers 2 balancing patches have 'gone too far' recently: 'It feels like every time someone finds something fun, the fun is removed' (www.pcgamer.com)

Replying to a player on Twitter who said recent patches have made the game “unplayable,” Arrowhead CEO Johan Pilestedt conceded that he’s not satisfied with his studio’s current balancing approach....

For that sweet buyout check. Management doesn’t care about the wake of destruction they leave, they got their 30 pieces of silver

It’s all “the West is coming for us” messaging with the dates they picked, they don’t care about the details.

The great horde were allied with Lithuania when they lost in 1480.

idk I don’t disagree, their messaging is as shit as everything else that comes from them as of late

They age gated the music video which limits the video getting surfaced in algorithms.

For the curious (and lazy):

According to repair biz iFixit, the issue with the power-frugal LPDDR memory chips is that the lower voltage they operate at calls for more attention to be paid to signal integrity between the CPU and memory. In practice, this has meant shorter track distances on the circuit board, leading to LPDDR being soldered down as close to the processor as possible.

LPCAMM2 is intended to address this by putting LPDDR onto a circuit board module that is “cleverly designed to mount right up next to the CPU,” with “very short traces to help maximize signal integrity,” the iFixit team explains in a blog and video detailing their hands-on with the ThinkPad P1 Gen 7.

I have conservative minded friends that have such a hard time grasping that they all need to work to survive and are thus Labor and not Capital. They think having an emergency fund and discretionary spending makes them a step above

It’s more useful to follow scientific consensus and update your reasoning in the presence of new evidence than it is to label something a contaminate while providing no data to support that position.

NOT_RICK,
@NOT_RICK@lemmy.world avatar

It’s not feasible to expect every person to know everything about the world. Experts exist for a reason and our trust in them is what pulled us out of the dark ages. Seems to me you use contrarianism as a means of exercising a misguided sense of superiority. The data shows fluoride is safe and effective. Until that changes there is no reason to condemn its use beyond baseless fear mongering.

I fully encourage you to do some research to support your hypothesis. Until then you’re just JAQing off.

The FTC has tried to stop a lot of mergers lately. The courts and the lack of strong antitrust laws in America are the problem more than them IMO
