Not necessarily killing it but the future is geared towards AI and machine learning. People and companies working in that sector don’t mind dishing out 3K$ for a GPU, leaving desktop PC gamers in the dust.

Aside from Nvidia, I bought a 7800XT last Christmas. No drivers issues at all and plays almost everything at 1440p/120fps on medium-to-high settings. Don’t forget Intel’s upcoming in the GPU industry as well.

Exactly the same here, we were renting up until 2018 at 900$CAD/month. Our mortgage is 950$CAD/month and our old apartment is now 1200$CAD/month. All expenses included, it’s s more expensive to rent than to own.

First time buyers can’t hardly get a mortgage now unless you were stashing cash or staying at your parents’ for a while.

I believe you should go with someone who really wants it first. Then look at their activity on Lemmy, are they a mod for other instances/communities, how much free time do they have etc.

Make a clearer choice then.

Not that I wouldn’t be interested in the position but I work night shifts and most threads are posted during the day, making me kind of useless/really late on problematic stuff.

Not a big surprise to any gamer out there. It was even considered dead on arrival for a while.

I can’t wait to just skip that game completely. As more stuff is revealed and as we approach the release date of Feb 16th, the more I believe the game will be a massive letdown.

In this current article is discussed the slow respawn rate of necessary items for in-game progression and people queuing to get them. REALLY rewarding for casual players (<30mins playtime per day).

Entry-level? I use a Ryzen 5 5600G coupled with a RX6600XT and I play most of my games at 1440p/120fps no problem. For heavier titles, it hovers around 70-90fps.

A Ryzen 7 5700 would be more than entry-level though. Low-cost on an well-capable gaming AMD build? Hell yes.

However, another website that spells rogue as rouge. Being a French-Canadian, I always read rougelike as “similar to the color red”.

Exactly. They’re maybe the minority but every one who played D2 and D3 with me along the years have given up on D4 after a month. They preferred going back to D2R.

I wonder what % of the player base has disappeared from the game since launch.

Yup, approximately what I had in mind, under 15% of the original player base.

The grinding needed in D2 and D3 didn’t feel as tiresome as it is in D4.

It might be that I’m becoming older, “grumpier” by the years and that I don’t have the patience and time to grind correctly anymore.

Dans son cas, un cancer de la prostate, ça pourrait seulement être une malformation congénitale ou encore des antécédents de cancer dans sa famille immédiate.

De plus, la drogue est pas garante d’une espérance de vie courte; Ozzy Osbourne, même s’il n’est pas québécois, en est le meilleur exemple. Il devrait être mort depuis sa jeune vingtaine si on se fie à ce qu’il prenait/prend encore.

First, you want to play on high/60fps but at what resolution? Paying over 1700$CAD for a RTX4090 GPU seems overkill while a RX6800 or a RX7700/7800 would let you play at 1080p/1440p at high settings at a fraction of the price.

SSD is fine.

PSU could be reduced to 850W.

64GB RAM is overkill for gaming right now but potentially useful in the upcoming years.

Bottom line, you could save here and there and still have a capable AM5 machine.

If you want value for your buck, build yourself an AM4 machine. Yes, AM5 is out now but your rig could still last you many many years with the right AM4 components.

M. Drainville est vraiment inutile.

Est-ce que ça te surprend? Avoir quelqu’un d’aussi opportuniste en politique comme ministre (un gars de Lanaudière, ancien député de Marie-Victorin qui se présente dans Lévis juste parce que la CAQ savait y obtenir une victoire facile), ça mène à rien.

Le gars doit avoir de la misère à gérer le contenu de son panier d’épicerie.

C’est clairement pas Educ Alcool qui va venir à bout de ce fléau là. Je dis fléau parce que je m’occupe de temps en temps de patients en attente de nouveaux foies (greffes). Ben souvent, au lieu de prendre ça comme un avertissement sévère de changer leurs habitudes, ils voient ça comme une deuxième chance de boire encore autant avec un foie en santé.

Ça c’est sans compter les delirium tremens, agressivité, symptômes de sevrage qui viennent avec une hospitalisation…

Not surprised in the slightest.

Most of my immediate neighbours own houses way outside their budget/payment capacity. As you said, add inflation and bigger monthly mortgage payments to the mix and it’s no surprise they can’t save 200$/month.
