We need in Mastodon the possibility of cite, share or button-like-super-easy way of linking toots.

I keep seeing LBs in here without context, and when I go the profiles to check what the source post was, I find nothing. Most probably cause I am not allowed to see the original, which is fair, but at least I would like to know and, maybe, have the chance of following the original poster.

Otherwise, this is the next level of the old birdshite issue of "seeing the smoke but never the fire".

Academics: FYI if you refer to your own papers in a paper, you should anonymise those references. I've just accidentally unblinded the paper I'm supposed to be reviewing and while I don't have any conflict of interest it's not how this is supposed to work! @academicchatter

@CatherineFlick @academicchatter I often cite my own stuff but I don't indicate this particular paper was by us, so I assume anonymity holds. Are you saying it's been an issue where a research group actively names a referenced paper as one of theirs?

Now I have my own kid, I downloaded a whole bunch of animated TV shows I used to watch when I was a kid.

One of them is and watching it today, as an adult, there are clearly a lot of things I didn't understand in the show. It still holds up. It's really fun to watch with my daughter.

Often watching these old shows sends me down a rabbit hole of research about the production and I learnt that the soundtrack was made by Mark Mothersbaugh, lead singer of (a band, who I also love).

When I shared my enthusiasm for Bodies (Netflix), I wondered if they'd stick the landing. I loved it.

If you don't know what this sci-fi investigation series is, don't watch a trailer, just start the first episode. It'll be enough to understand what Bodies is, & whether you'll like what comes next.

    Ok, editing a video to toot costs too much brain, so I'll just tell you..

    I have a lil wee grey mouse that lives in the attic and comes out and eats manky plums out of the dead plant basket on my fire escape. I call him Atticus and he is adorable.

    We have become quiet friends, he's super chill now and doesn't even startle when I move around the space.

    This morning he sat and groomed in a sunbeam while I drank my coffee.

    I am in love. 💖

    Necron Deathmark.

    I wanted to represent them stepping through from the hidden dimension.
    For the portal I used some clear plastic, cut into a wibbly shape, so that it is visible but not (like a heat haze).

    I also painted half of the mini' dark and half "in light", again, to represent stepping from the hidden dimension. The cut-off matches the position of the "portal".

    This Fiend model is based on that you would find in the original Quake game (Screenshot included in one picture).

    built from scratch with plasticard and plastic sprue (glued into blocks and carved). ~100mm long.

    This hut was created for a friendly contest with the condition that the model was made from recycled materials.

    The base is an old CD,
    The texturing is dried paint,
    The roof is scrap card,
    The cloth above the doorway is old climbing tape,
    And everything else is made from plastic sprue...

    This is my sprue hut.
