Thought I'd go to Quel'Danas this morning on a whim, see if I could get the mount from the 5-man, or the legendary bow from the raid.

No mount, but after years of trying on my hunter: I finally got the legendary bow!

The bow's special draw effect is amazing as well! This is definitely a keeper 😀🤩😍

Hardest part was figuring out a decent mog to use with it! 😂

Finally settled on the Ulduar set, as it fits in best colours-wise.

So happy to get this as that's another item chalked off the list!

I'm in Northern Ireland btw, for the folks asking :D

I took over 100 shots last night, those 4 were among the best I got.

An amazing spectacle, even to the naked eye, which obviously doesn't see all of the colours until they show up in a photograph.

But looking directly up and seeing it, even without 99% of the colours visible, was an awe inspiring sight. Truly spectacular.

    My seemingly biennial reminder to stop emotionally investing so much into being a member of a WoW Guild.

    Having means making friends for me is difficult IRL. As such, I tend to over-invest emotionally when I become part of a WoW Guild, because it becomes my main source of social activity/interaction.

    However it appears that this investment turns out to be more one-sided than I hope for most of the time, and again that turns out to be the case this time...

    Previous guild collapses have caused me to have panic attacks whilst on holiday, like I have insurmountable worries etc.

    This latest incident arose because I thought the people I was friends with in my guild apparently thought much less of me than I did of them.

    So onto a new guild I move, with hopefully the foresight this time to invest less emotion into the people there, and approach it more like a job, with work colleagues, instead of "friends", because the latter never works out.

    It also means I've come to the realisation that I should expand my social circle a bit more, even if it is still only online.

    Less depth in any one "circle", but a wider range.

    Which is kinda sad, because I really enjoy feeling like I have a real friend or two in a guild I become a part of. And yeah, that's worked well a few times in the past, but the majority of the time it's more para-social than I care to admit or would like.

    Oh well, hopefully it doesn't diminish my enjoyment of the game.

    I'm also very aware that I may have just completed the most successful expansion that I'll ever play in. And that's fine tbh. At least I had the opportunity to do it, and had a lot of fun along the way.

    I'm hoping the new guild turn out to be fun too. So far they seem very quiet, both in-game and on Discord, but I'm hoping that that's just end of tier/season wind-down, and it picks up during season 4.

    At least they're a long-term guild with a stable roster, so that bodes well 👍

    Cutting Edge on Mythic Fyrakk finally completed!

    That's all 3 Cutting Edge Achievements for Dragonflight done and dusted 😁

    Especially satisfying as before DF I had never been able to achieve a single CE before, because the guilds I'd been in previously weren't capable of pushing the hardest end bosses enough.

    I always knew I was capable of doing it, just needed the right environment to reach that potential I guess!

    So that's DF capped off with all 3 CE's here's hoping TWW goes just as well!

    Just watched a seminar on in older adults (planning for the future, yeah, that’s the ticket).

    The presenter started with a slide that said “Why Is ADHD in Older Adults an Issue?” and had a speech bubble (presumably from some naysayer) saying, "They lived with it their whole lives. Why bother treating it now?"

    The presenter is going to answer the question, and is an ally, but my first impulse is to correct that question… I didn't "live" with ADHD, I suffered from it, and still do. So, instead of “why bother treating it now" the question is actually “what took you so long?!”

    Which is odd, given how much of a goldmine there is there with the number of potential study subjects, most of whom would be easier to get information from than a young kid given higher articulation about their experiences.

    Also recommending Defender. If it's good enough for us corporately then you know it's good enough.

    We've used Kaspersky, AVG etc in the past, but Defender is better than them all.

    Which feels weird and unintuitive, given it's MS, but it's true.

    Dear folks, what’s the best way to learn what I should be doing in M+’s? I’m basically a solo player and healed one of my first M5 and M8s this morning but whilst healing I kept being told to ‘deal with the spirits’ and I had no idea what they were asking me to do. The healing was stressful enough. I’m ilvl 453ish I think but don’t seem to be getting drops that improve this anywhere.

    @andyn Generally healers will be expected to deal with the afflicted spirits, either by dispelling or healing them up.

    You should have a look on Wowhead for more info on any given week's affixes 👍
