That said, watching a student’s face light up and they look over [[Gravedigger]] and [[Soul Salvage]] and join the dots as they were learning to play is a great thing.

Yeah, I think this is a day 0 errata card because it was misprinted. Seems too ridiculously broken it basically wins the game the turn you play it, potentially even against instant speed interaction.

I’m getting a lot of dissonance between art and cards with this set.

The art looking like a Ghitu, but with a land fall trigger makes me feel it should be a Zendikari in the art. =S

You’re probably right… But the normal set restriction is limiting scope to a plane or two.

I don’t think they had to cross mechanics, but just my personal feelings. I imagine others enjoy the mechanic-plane mish-mash.

Seems great in limited as you have 8 mana at a minimum next turn, unless oppo wants to point removal at a spawn token.

I didn’t mean give them public lands, but more recreate large common spaces for people to be able to be somewhat sufficient.

Good question. They’re still working with Darren Bader as recently as MKM, so it’s nothing to do with digital foot-in-mouthing.

I imagine rights and royalties, as that plays a big role in the reuse of old art.

I reckon it’s playable.
Just not much more than begrudgingly so. Somewhere between the 2/1 morbid +1/+1 buzzard and the 3/4 menace zombie in OTJ.

Yeah, this deck is fun.

I’ve been beaten by it a few times (I suspect shortly after the content bod did their vid), but not played it myself. Does feel very weak to spot removal, but tends to win against a deck playing solitaire.

A largeish flash creature might work well too to flash in on endstep before playing calamity. That said, Terror and Rhino seem great I win buttons.

Maybe Skrelv as on board free hexproof?
