Sethayy,

Lmao so measuring calories in food isn’t accurate cause you don’t consider it food when measured?

That’s gotta be the funniest counter argument I’ve ever heard

Sethayy,

Pretty sure I remember that too, but believe there was some caveat like it only uploads when watching, making made it ‘more give less take’ on average

Best way to remotely access pc on same LAN

Hey guys. I have a steam link I’ve used for quite some time. But I’m wanting to figure out a solution that is similar but grants full PC control. I have my main PC hardwired and a steam link and monitor out in my garage I’m routing to with a power line adapter that works pretty great. But it has a lot of issues when...

Sethayy,

If you got the GPU for it, parsec for windows and sunshine for Linux. Sunshine is a lot more customisable and quicker, but takes a bit of setup and further tweaking to really optimise it.

If you don’t have a GPU rustdesk or any old vnc server will do

Sethayy,

Its most important on the host, but even the integrated GPU on the N100 will have a decoder, what the client needs.

Sethayy,

Lower latency and you’re usually able to get better quality for less bandwidth.

Its definitely a longer process to setup though

Sethayy,

I got an underpowered gaming laptop I use lxqt when running heavier things, plasma the rest of the time, biggest issue I’ve found is lxqt dirtied up the desktop with home/trash/documents links

Sethayy,

Honestly if I get scammed I don’t have the time nor money to fight it, sounds like mostly protection for those at the top

Obscure screw added so appliance cannot be disassembled (lemmy.world)

Basic blender went bad (motor ran but spindle wasn’t rotating). I wanted to disassemble to see if it could be repaired. Three of the four screws were Phillips head. I had to cut the casing open in order to discover why I couldn’t unscrew the fourth. It was a slotted spanner.

Sethayy,

Though it should be noted this does raise the bar above most people, especially on a budget, single use tools are hardly ever worth it.

Arguably more dangerous things have easier screws too, like electricity outlets

Sethayy,

I can’t say personally any of my appliances have had this screw, so again relative to someone not doing this for a living it very well could be

Sethayy,

I think its more or less you come in swinging most people are gonna swing back, the bear thing gave both sides a reason to ‘rightfully’ be angry when the question literally couldn’t matter less than Lego fortnite

Sethayy,

Kinda like when an AI is overtrained on one thing that wasn’t really correlated to its original goal, we’ve attempted to create a system that organizes collaboration between people; were now so overtrained on acquiring wealth that some would rather the planet burn than risk acquiring slightly less.

Its similar enough to a trail of ants in a death spiral; the same essential survival instincts that their society depends on, now nefariously dooming all involved to a slow starvation.

That being said similarly to the ants most of the populace will do the average (as it’s what’s kept us alive this long so how could it harm us?) And continue the spiral, but if one individual is able to reconnect the spiral to the main pheramone train the entire death spiral may be avoided

Sethayy,

God? Jesus is that you? Or at least someone omnipotent

You know with absolute certainty the only way people can trade is capitalism?

Sethayy,

On one end carrying sheep would be annoying, but so is a credit score; arguably both are sources of noise distracting humanity from actually improving at all

Sethayy,

Making the assumption ownership is a valued currency of course.

Which is arguably a bootstrap-paradox; we need capital to participate in capitalism, for which we need - cause without capitalism what would we do with our capital.

Sethayy,

I mean like owning things is a human concept not a physical law, so yeah I can imagine a society exists where nothing is owned

Can’t say if it’d be better or worse than our current cause were not trying it, but tbh I’d be happy if instead of solely me being able to use ‘my’ drill for example, the whole community can whenever they require.

Sounds a hell of a lot more efficient to me if we work together not apart

Sethayy,

I’m begging everyone to watch the intro script of Reefer Madness, its honestly comedy gold how horribly its aged

Sethayy,

Man I hate to say it but cutting off 50% of the population due to trauma is a tauma response and solely that.

Its horrible you ever had to go through that and not even knowing you personally if I had a time machine to help I would; but that was one bad person, not a bad populace.

Sethayy,

But of course none of that really makes sense in a museum specialising on controversy

Sethayy,

Got this one from tumblr but its something along the lines of we go to the bathroom to shit, not have some special women fun time in there.

If there was a way to have my own room entirely without anyone else that’d be 100% preferred, but gender is the last thing im thinking about when someone’s peeking down the cracks of my stall

Sethayy,

Never did I say we should actively punish people for their trauma, I just simply mean we shouldn’t punish others for it either.

And a museum centred around controversy sounds like the last place for healthy healing

Sethayy,

Though I can’t really see a party being the best representation for the populace no?

Sethayy,

Lotta Canadian politicians invest in housing so affordability isn’t really an option over here, unrelated to drake which is the joke

Sethayy,

It was underpowered when it came out and didn’t introduce anything their other consoles didnt already have (nor have I ever seen someone use half the features).

What’s really impressive is the devs making games for it, showing off how much the mobile gaming market is holding us back by making Candy Crush Soda Ultra Supermax

Sethayy,

But you may have with your Gameboy, gameboy advanced, Ds, dsi, dsiXL, 2ds, 3ds, wiiu, PSP, or PSP vita.

And if you consider a portable HDMI output important, laptops and phones could do this probably half a decade before the switch came out

Sethayy,

For the laptop thing you realistically could by a WAN IP per device, itd just be expensivr and also a massive security issue DMZ’ing all your devices
