Lemmy.ml is also full of raging tankies. Most of the instances refuse to federate with lemmygrad because its well, lemmygrad. But that don't mean they can't get in other ways. Hell the Lemmy founders are raging communists. Hence why I'm on Sh.itjust.works and not on lemmy.ml

Piracy is heavily intertwined with self host/privacy for me so yeah same. I have the whole servarr stack setup but I probably use it the least out of everyone on it. My wife watches several movies a day when she can so its mainly for her. But I love building out the services and adding new things.

I truly don't know what they think is going to happen. Its an open source, endlessly clonable piece of software. They killed Youtube Vanced and within a week Revanced popped up.

Forcing a google account would be wild but apparently Reddit is blocking access to the site on mobile so I wouldn't be that surprised. Then again, how greedy can these companies be. Google already has chrome which most people use and harvests all your fuckin data. Just leave the like 3% of us alone.

Amen to that. My wife is a huge movie buff and if she watches several movies a day. It would be so fuckin annoying for her to have to bounce to every single service just to watch one thing.

If youre savy enough to do that, its probably worth it to look into running a servarr stack.

At its core, yeah. The most popular ones are sonarr(tv) and radarr(movies) then a media frontend like plex/jellyfin/emby. But theres plenty of other *arr programs depending on your needs. If you ever need any help, Im trying to get the servarr community going on here or you could dm me.
