We finished ‘Eric’ last week courtesy of our month’s sub to Netflix, and it’s an amazing, though difficult show. Cumberbatch is brilliant, but the rest of the cast is also damn good. Tough themes of abuse, addiction, child sexual exploitation, racism, and homophobia. BC plays an absolute arse, who is not as bad as his father, but definitely just as much of a shit to his son in his own way. Definitely for adults only.
No links to the 'research' and the solutions suggested in the article would put seniors into financial difficulty. Also it's all about people with kids, specifically, apparently not dying off fast enough to help their offspring.
In other words, the headline is utter, unsupported bullshit

this is okay, but what we need is “almost all Australians” doing this. It shouldn’t be remotely close

@anathema_device What a wildly angry article. It appears to be based on a hunch that people with plug-in hybrids won’t use the electric motor at all, which is nonsense. Why would they buy a plug-in hybrid if only to never use it?
I’m considering a plug-in hybrid as our next car (we have a non-plug-in hybrid), because I suspect it’ll almost never use petrol ever - unless we do the six hour journey to a relative’s house. (Alternatives there are to rent another car).
