The AXIOM Electronics Manufactring Line: On The Move now has a proper music video 😊 and lots of insights into what now seems to appear to have been a pretty easy job in 2 minutes - it actually wasn't ....

You remember the barrel maker workshop we cleaned out recently to convert into our very own camera electronics manufacturing facility. While not everything is finished yet the big machine journey of stencil printer, pick and place machine and conveyor re-flow oven happened yesterday together with hundreds of other small things. Everything arrived safely and the new space is taking shape!

all the machines arrived in their new home safely, manually hauling a ~1 ton machine down from the trailer was quite a challenge... notice we are almost done insulating the walls on the left side
the old barrel maker workshop we cleaned out, lots of sawdust from the last century

regarding paper/cardboard box package creation someone suggested inkpacking: Inkscape extension to create foldable boxes, with finger slots and different flaps, takes paper thickness into account https://github.com/Moini/inkpacking - anyone tried that yet?

Do you know of any open source software optimized for designing folded cardboard boxes and packaging solutions?

First diode laser cut steel metal sheet for AXIOM Beta Compact enclosure lens mount shims have been produced from 0.01mm sheets.

Resulting lens mount shims with just 0.01mm thickness

What shines pink and green in the most vivid 80ies colors here are actually assembled AXIOM Beta Compact enclosure ultra violet infra red light blocking (UV/IR) optical filters.

It's starting to get complex with new AXIOM Beta Compact Enclosure Assembly Illustrations: 3D CAD data + @Blender rendered explosion drawing then labels and illustration lines on top. Do you consider that clear instructions without confusion?

@mwfc

Excellent ideas! I first tried changing the brightness of the arrows a bit to make them better readable on the different part backgrounds but colour coding the assembly path makes it even easier to differentiate the individual steps in the assembly procedure. Also colored the labels of the parts the same as the lines.
